Description:

This is THE guitar instrumental album Phi has been promising to make for many years now. The idea was to serve up passionate and fiery guitar playing with simply exceptional progressive rock/fusion compositions - the kind that takes your breath away, leaving you in a state of wonderment and excitement! And all played by the finest musicians of their kind: Marco Minnemann on drums, Bryan Beller on bass, with contributions by Lalle Larsson on keyboards and some intense Terry Syrek guest guitar solos.

"At the start of 2024 I decided if I ever was going to finish this project, this was the time! I spent that year pushing my guitar playing as far as I could go to deliver my own personal statement on guitar instrumental albums. One that had the compositional richness of music by Zappa, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return To Forever or Rush, with the guitar lyricism and intensity of players such as Steve Vai or Joe Satriani. In some regards it is the fitting successor to my 2005 guitar instrumental album 'Solar Flare', with many of these compositions having similar roots. It is a delight that this album finally sees the light of day. ENJOY!”
